Ceiling fans are great. In fact I have two running right now to complement the air con that’s also cranked up throughout the house. I adore summer and so the fan is my greatest appliance during the summer time and, pretty much all year through.
This is great because the room cools down evenly and gives me a light breezy sensation in the space. The second thing is that the fan assists to cool the air down just by circulating it. Its like putting the top straight down and and cruising down the main strip. The air blowing across your face assists cool things down very nicely.
In actuality, when I feel guilty about doing my bit for the environment I try to cut down on electricity, I turn the air conditioner and most Home Lighting off and keep the ceiling fan on. It works truly well. The ceiling fan is a excellent thing to install in the bedroom and living room. In our house the ceiling fan works the hardest. We have a few in the house including the kitchen. The ceiling fan has usually been the preferred choice in cooling our home and if there was a time when we have a black out, the thing we miss the most is the ceiling fan. We are able to do without the air-con as long as we have the fan on.
In the winter, I know it sounds insane, but the fan comes in really useful too. I’ve the fan on low, not for the feel with the wind in your hair, but a lot more to circulate the heat. We have a central radiator system for warmth, and that creates a very uneven heating throughout the room. The radiator is exactly where my favorite recliner is, and the heat can get intolerable although the air is pretty cold close towards the door. Using a fan, we realized that the room was a lot more evenly heated and comfy, kind of like a warm summer time breeze coming blowing from the Gulf.
I like to also say that we all use Ceiling Fans each time we’re in a position to. The air quality in the house has vastly improved as there is less mold and mildew resulting in a lesser musty odor. The fan reduces humidity and spreads the heat generated by the Chandeliers by allowing the air to soak up moisture out of your skin because it moves. All in all the physics might be sound, the cost may be low and the rational for owning a ceiling fan might be unbeatable, but so far as I’m involved, it just makes good common sense to have one.
A Ceiling Fans is a great way to cut down energy bills and keep the house feeling fresh and cool.
