The Facts About Ceiling Fan Lights

If you have a really small home, like I do, ceiling fan lights are great. A small space implies insufficient ceiling space to hang a fan and and pendant lighting or flush mounted sconces. So the simplest solution – which is always the best, is to co-locate the fan and the light, and voila, you get a ceiling fan light.

Every home has two things in common. First, everyone has less space than they would like. And second, they all need light fixtures. When there isn’t enough space, we try to make use of what we have. My sons’ room has a bunk bed – that’s an example of collocating something. Even the kitchen is full of things that are stacked on each other to increase the value of the foot print.

So in other words, even the ceiling can be limited and when that happens the best answer I to collocate things. This is where ceiling fan lights come into play. By collocating the lights and the fan, you save a lot of space on the ceiling and also save on the amount of wiring that needs to be pulled.

A few things you might want to consider before you decide on whether ceiling fan lights are for you. First of all, do you live in a small apartment or are you thinking of placing the ceiling fan lights in a small space like an attic or the basement. The key is are you looking at form or function.Ceiling fan lights have a unique aesthetic advantage. It gives a very neat and organized look. It also allows clear ceilings in the rest of the open space. When you have a slam ceiling area, this is very beneficial.

The final thing to think about is the functions that come with the ceiling fan light. For me, the key deciding factor was that everything was operated by remote. It does everything from the comfort of my couch. This fantastic and it uses a universal remote concept.

What this means is that I can integrate the commands into my entertainment system’s remote control and control my ceiling fan light from there. Talk about the ultimate in collocating things.
